Bill joined Elder’s in 1980 and has been our Brainerd Store Manager since 2020. Elder’s Ace was his first job and he has worked at our Ooltewah, Rivermont, Highway 58 and Brainerd stores. His favorite department is nuts and bolts because he enjoys helping customers find exactly what they need. He fondly remembers Elder suggesting he write everything down and keep a pen and paper with him to help him remember customers’ names. He said Elder also always recommended that now was the best time to do something. When asked what he enjoys most about working at Elder’s, Bill said getting to help people day in and day out. On his days off, Bill enjoys playing guitar, fishing, playing golf. He also enjoys doing projects around his house and spending Sundays at church with his family. Bill is a Chattanooga native and a graduate of Tyner High School and Chattanooga State.
